About the electrical performance of 12 - core ADSS cable


The choice of the type of 12-core ADSS cable should first consider the requirements of electrical performance, that is, the size of the space electric field (potential) that 12-core ADSS can withstand.


This is because the 12-core ADSS cable works in the vicinity of the high voltage line, the space around it is electromagnetic field, the capacitance coupling between the cable and the cable makes the cable in a space potential position, fog, dew point or light rain, wet dirt in the cable outer sheath surface formed a layer of resistance.

What kind of outer sheath to use for 12-core ADSS depends on the spatial potential of installation position, and is related to the voltage level of power line, tower structure, conductor arrangement, phase arrangement and other factors.
